Boat Trip: Dolphins, Snorkeling, and Mida Creek Among the Wonders of the Coast
The day begins with a departure from your accommodation at 8:00 a.m. We'll head to the embarkation point to board a glass-bottom boat, equipped with a raised sunroof, perfect for sunbathing during the journey.
The first stop will be Watamu Marine Park , a protected nature reserve perfect for snorkeling. You can dive among colorful tropical fish and coral reefs using masks, fins, and life jackets (available on board). From November to March, season permitting, you'll also have the opportunity to spot the dolphins that inhabit these waters. We will then continue towards the Mida Creek lagoon , a wonderful mangrove reserve where storks, herons and flamingos live, which you can admire from the boat.
The cruise continues to Sudi Island for lunch. Here, you'll be served a traditional menu of coconut rice, octopus sauce, lobster, fresh fish, and grilled shrimp, along with tropical fruit and non-alcoholic beverages. After lunch, you can relax on the beach or, if you wish, explore the canals by canoe with local guides (optional extra not included). The day concludes with a return to your accommodation in the late afternoon .
Yes! We provide everything you need for snorkeling, including a mask, fins, and a life jacket. If you have your own equipment and prefer to use it, you're welcome to bring it.
Dolphins are visible from November to March, but their presence depends on seasonal conditions and the tide.
Lunch on board features fresh seafood and includes coconut rice, octopus sauce, lobster, grilled fish, and shrimp, along with fruit and non-alcoholic beverages. Vegetarian and meat options are also available upon request.
