Get ready for an epic 2-day/1-night or 3-day/2-night adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of Tsavo East and Amboseli National Park! Aboard a 4×4 jeep with a panoramic roof, driven by local experts, you’ll discover the wild beauty of Kenya. And of course, there will be delicious buffet meals – get ready to take tons of photos and have fun like never before!
We wake up at dawn (ok, maybe a little later... 6:15)! We leave the resort and head towards the beginning of our adventure. The road is red dirt—yes, the dirt that makes you feel like you're truly in the heart of Africa! We'll cross Kenya's largest forest and see authentic villages, full of smiles and colors.
First stop? Crocodile Point ! Get ready to see giant crocodiles in the Galana River (no, they don't sign autographs) and sly monkeys ready to steal your cookie if you're not careful! We'll arrive at the park entrance around 10:00 a.m., and from there the real safari begins: a thrilling Game Drive ! Lions, elephants, giraffes, antelopes, cheetahs, leopards, hippos, zebras—you name it! You'll feel like you're in a National Geographic documentary, but live!
Around 1:00 PM, we'll arrive at the lodge/camp for a bit of relaxation. Check-in, enjoy a buffet lunch, and perhaps a swim in the pool or a nap in your room. But the adventure continues! At 3:45 PM, we'll set off for another game drive to see how the savannah prepares for sunset. Once we return to the lodge, a delicious dinner awaits us under the starry sky, the perfect way to end the day.
We'll wake up early (6:00 a.m., but we promise it's worth it)! After breakfast, we'll set off on another game drive towards Taita Hills National Park. Around 11:30 a.m., we'll arrive at the Sarova Salt Lick stilt camp , a place where even your accommodation is an adventure—elevated, surrounded by savannah animals!
After a buffet lunch and some relaxation (by the pool or in your room, the choice is yours), the afternoon game drive awaits us at 3:45 PM , which will continue until sunset. But the day doesn't end there: Taita Hills is the only park in Kenya where you can go on a night safari ! For a small fee, we'll depart around 8:00 PM, accompanied by a ranger, in search of hunting scenes and mysterious nocturnal creatures... a thrilling experience!
We'll wake up at 6:00 a.m. for a final game drive before breakfast. After filling our bellies, we'll embark on another safari to explore the park until we reach the exit. Along the way, we'll stop for a revitalizing lunch and a short rest before returning to Watamu, arriving around 3:30 p.m., with a myriad of memories and stories to tell!
Bring summer clothing, but also something warmer for the evenings (the nights can be surprising!), a hat, high-SPF sunscreen, tropical mosquito repellent, sunglasses, a swimsuit, a power adapter... and most importantly, your camera! You don't want to miss a single moment of this epic adventure!
